The costs involved in simply acquiring historic aircraft is no small challenge, what follows is a financially gruelling period of restoration from the transportation of aircraft sections as abnormal loads, to the painstaking restoration of exacting requirements to each aircraft. Meanwhile the costs of the equipment, and resources to enable us to fully restore an aircraft in a very poor state can in most cases overtake the cost of the aircraft itself. Therefore it is vitally important that we can not only find the resources to undertake a restoration but work together with other public institutions to provide them with a well deserved and protected home, where they can be preserved for future generations. Perhaps you have seen one of our aircraft, or have met one of our team, and have a specific connection with one aircraft in particular. The section below allows donations to be made specifically towards the ongoing preservation work of one of our existing aircraft in particular. This may be in memory of a loved one who worked or trained on the aircraft type, or you have a keen passion to see a particular aircraft looked after for the future.
